10:35 am Film: Encounterpoint follows a former Israeli settler, a Palestinian ex-prisoner, a bereaved Israeli mother and a wounded Palestinian bereaved brother who risk their lives and public standing to promote a nonviolent end to the conflict. Their journeys lead them to the unlikeliest places to confront hatred within their communities. The screening will be followed by a discussion with:
- Diann Killian, Director the Brooklyn Center for Non-Violent Communication
- Elik Elhanan, Co-founder of Combatants for Peace and the Bereaved Parents group featured in the film.
- Rick Congress, recently returned from the Code Pink mission to Gaza
- Joel Kovel, noted author and educator
